What is the Universe of Light?
The Universe of Light display is the latest attraction for shoppers to enjoy at the Mall of America. According to a press release, the Universe of Light is a nine-minute show that “uses lights, music and fog effects to transform the air space above Nickelodeon Universe into a Technicolor dream.”
Fun for the whole family
Mykl and I brought the kids out for a special sneak preview of Universe of Light hosted by Lola Red PR. They were excited to show off a little light-up bling to match the theme of the evening.
When you have 3 kids tell you that the Universe of Light show is “really cool”, you know you’ve made a good entertainment choice as a parent. Since it’s just lights and fog and music, it was completely appropriate as a family activity, and we were able to take the kids to play at Nickelodeon Universe afterwards to make it a full night of fun.
Best spot to watch
The best spot to watch the Universe of Light display is from the second floor on the patio in front of the LEGO® Store on the South side of the mall.
If you are unable to stand for the duration of the light show, the South Side 3rd floor food court is an excellent choice. There are tables and chairs that overlook Nickelodeon Universe and the Universe of Light display.
Dates & Times
Starting November 27th, families can enjoy the free Universe of Light display at 7pm each day. A second showing is available later in the evening, at 9:30pm Monday-Thursday and at 10pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Universe of Light is slated to run indefinitely and is currently planned to be a long-term attraction.
